Campfire Fun - Swedish Log Candle

The camping season is coming. We have shown you how to build a camp fire the traditional way. Today we are going to show you a not-so-traditional campfire technique.

This fun campfire is called the Swedish log candle or Swedish fire torch. What you need is just a dried log, with a star cut into one end (but not completely through). To light up this Swedish log candle campfire, stand the log candle, pour such accelerant as kerosene, lamp oil, or lighter fluid into the star cut and light it. That’s it.

One added benefit is that you have the perfect cooking surface on your log candle too. It works great for such lazy campers as me. What do you think? Check out the full tutorial and watch the video for more details.
