How to make DIY doily bowls to store small items

Dig through your junkie box or your local thrift shop for those good old doilies. Apartment Therapy has a nice tutorial on how to give those doilies new fresh lives by turning them into doily bowls.

These lovely doily bowls are great for storing your small pretty things. What immediately come into my mind are rings, hair accessories, cloth pins, and maybe candies too.

The way to turn the doilies into bowls is essentially starching the doilies into bowl shapes. You can use white glue or fabric hardener to achieve the effect. Head over to Apartment Therapy for detailed step by step instructions.

If you don’t have doilies in your house or your local thrift, there are some¬†crochet doilies on Amazon here. Check them out.
